What's New at Woodland
Vineyard? (updated 12/04/09)
-- Several WV wines are now being sold locally at The
Wine Cellar in Midlothian!
-- WV's 2007 Merlot was recently awarded a silver medal at the Virginia State Fair.
-- WV's 2008 Viognier and 2008 White Merlot were awarded bronze medals at the Wines of the South competition.
WV is growing!
As you may know, last year we purchased 35 acres of land in Amelia and planted
about 1,000 new vines. We continued our expansion efforts this year, and in
April we planted an additional 550 vines, including petite verdot, merlot,
viognier and muscat. Unfortunately, we chose to plant on the hottest day this
year- 93 degrees and full sun! Check out the photos of us hard at work!
